Streaking overwhelmed the world

1.D&G - D&G found a whole new subtlety on the Milan catwalk on Friday. Gone were the in-your-face references to sex (by way of metal chokers) and punk-inspired attitude, but that didn't mean Italian's sexiest design duo are any less raunchy these days. If there was any doubt that next season is all about prints, Friday's show eliminated it – with 45 different designs featuring everything from garish florals to psychedelic Sixties swirls and comic strip prints.

2.Miu miu - Once again, this season will see inspiration come from the past. For Spring Summer 2011, we see inspiration coming for 50s, 60s and 70s: from the pin-up queen, Bettie Page of the 50s, Jackie O of the 60s to the 70s with Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall.

3.Balmain - FOR his Balmain spring/summer 2011 show this afternoon at the Grand Hotel, Christophe Decarnin did the thing he does best – rocker chic.
To the sounds of the Sex Pistols in the background, out came the supplest of leather biker jackets, jeans with washed and crushed finishes - studded with rivets and safety pins - in either classic black or the red, white and blue colours of the American flag.

4.Gareth Pugh - IT was the latest-running show of the week. "It'll be spring/summer soon," shouted one photographer. Colin McDowell left the tent and Hilary Alexander tried to get the photographers to lead us all in a song… There have been whispers among fashion's front line that, despite hitting headlines will all his shows, Gareth Pugh has yet to sell even one piece.

5.Jil Sander - He is getting stronger and stronger…I am so glad that Raf Simons has managed to resurrect the brand from the abyss it sunk into when the namesake founder left. He has embraced the minimalist aesthetic of the brand but injected his own style, and this season the collection was about oversized silhouettes, bright colours, stripes, prints, and hands in pockets (my favourite!)

6.Givenchy - started forty minutes late this evening, due in part to the delayed arrival of Riccardo Tisci favorite Ciara — the photographers booed her on her way in. Speaking of arrivals — muse Mariacarla Boscono wasn't able to make it, so fellow brand face Natalia Vodianova, fresh of her Etam lingerie collection presentation yesterday, filled in.

7.Prada -
Ahh you gotta love Prada. It’s unique and there’s always a little surprise at catwalk shows.
And this season didn’t disappoint, with the designer adding a little bit of monkey business into the mix.
Colours were bright with orange, green and purple forming the main hues of the collection.

8.Moschino -
Stripes, polka dots and an irresistible taste nineties. The collection for spring summer created by Moschino continues the same search for “historic” range on the catwalk with the winter collection.
